“Fight the Flesh”
My senses are a blessing, but they can also lead me into sin.
My present self and my past self that had not found Jesus yet are fighting. I am winning by being above and choking my older self. My old body represents the flesh that I was okay with sinning in. My present body represents my active sufferings of avoiding sin. My hands, eyes, mouth, and ears float in the back as a reminder that what they intake may cause my flesh to be tempted to sin. The red background symbolizes blood and an internal war.
Our surroundings dictate what is tempting to us. Gluttony, Envy, Lust, Greed, Pride, Wrath, and Sloth are the seven deadly sins that corrupt our bodies.
I always imagined fighting myself whenever I was presented with a desire to sin. That temptation and conviction are what drive me to confliction. Aye that rhymes kinda.
