Everything presented below was made entirely by me. Endless hours, time skipped between each piece, and the countless art blocks have made this page very unique to me. Not only have I been able to finalize a physical image that my brain wanted to show, but it also tells the viewer something- if you can catch it. If not, I’ll gladly tell you. Description:
This is a digital piece; it’s also the first piece I created for my AP Art portfolio. My Inquiry was:
“How has having a relationship with Jesus affected my life?”
My answer is shown in this art piece. It is about understanding sacrifice. Specifically, the sacrifice that paid the painful price of the sins in the world. This has affected my life because I am aware that Jesus thought that I- and everyone on this planet- was worth dying for. He sees that much value in you and me. His love, his grace, is something we cannot forget.
Jesus is depicted as a bleeding lamb with seven horns and seven eyes. Revelation 5:6 - “Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth".
I am the person in the picture. The texturized colors on my skin represent that I am in the presence of absolute divinity and holiness. The light emanating from the Lamb allows me to see clearly, and my hands graciously accept the gift of eternal life, receiving his sacrifice.
