I had been writing a story called “NewFound Gem” for years now, just as a passion project.

One of the characters I created is a Gem (Gem is basically another word for Hero); she lost her jaw in a fight that has yet to be determined… and her powers are possession. She can possess the body of any being, but it causes her real body to sleep- a major vulnerability. (Credit to my friend Ronin for this idea)

I drew this digital piece by using multiple references in lighting and posture from Pinterest. After completing this piece, I had a spree of creating semi-realistic artwork to my fullest talent. I’m very content with how this came out.

I don’t know if I’ll ever fully complete my story… but I enjoy the process, and this was an awesome piece that I think was worth sharing!
